I’m getting settled in here well. Just cleaned the room, and now everything is… more organized, not really completely organized, but its spacious now.
There are quite a few number of events out here, such as a comedy improv show which was last night, and club events. Many greek fraternity/sororities, which I will not be attending. I didn’t even know what “rush” meant until yesterday, though I feel as though I’m still not completely sure what it means.
I’m looking for a theater here to join, and seems like “Penny Dreadful Players” is a good candidate. Luke and I have looked also at this other organization which organizes shows for bands that come here (The Decemberists, Ben Folds, and even Duke Ellington and Louis Armstrong, apparently in their early ages) plus we get to watch the shows for free.
Next week: swing dance lessons, student run farm (see if I get to work there
)
Classes are fun, though many of them are very simple (physics 140, rhetoric 105, urban planning 101) but generally interesting. I might eventually struggle with microeconomics, but no biggie
